Title:
Acer AspireOne 751h: can't lower/increase brightness
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
I have an Acer AspireOne 751h laptop with an Intel GMA500 Poulsbo
video card. It is running Ubuntu Karmic and has been configured with
the psb driver, so X server is working fine. However, the brightness
keys don't work (Fn+left/right arrow). I am able to lower/increase
with xbacklight, so I know screen brightness can indeed be
lowered/increased on the laptop. So the problem lies in the fact that
the key combinations (Fn+left/right arrow) are not recognized.
Interestingly, if Bluetooth is turned off using the Bluetooth switch
or using Fn+F3, it not only disables Bluetooth but the brightness
increase OSD dialog pops up.
This is the same problem described in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8814779
