This re-committed an upstream stable fix f5a26acf0162 ("pinctrl: intel: Initialize GPIO properly when used through irqchip") that was later reverted in, also a stable fix, f840d7f6870d6 due to side effects on backlight device on some platforms. f840d7f6870d6 actually causes bug 1857874, and is planned to be reverted yet again in at least oem kernels. Since the original pinctrl fix has been re-committed to both generic and oem kernels, I marked bug 1857874 a duplicate of this bug.

The following upstream stable patches should be included in the Ubuntu kernel: upstream stable patchset 2019-11-21 from git://git.kernel.org/ To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1853519/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
