This re-committed an upstream stable fix f5a26acf0162 ("pinctrl: intel:
Initialize GPIO properly when used through irqchip") that was later
reverted in, also a stable fix, f840d7f6870d6 due to side effects on
backlight device on some platforms. f840d7f6870d6 actually causes bug
1857874, and is planned to be reverted yet again in at least oem
kernels. Since the original pinctrl fix has been re-committed to both
generic and oem kernels, I marked bug 1857874 a duplicate of this bug.

Title:
Bionic update: upstream stable patchset 2019-11-21

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in linux source package in Bionic:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:

      SRU Justification

      Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or
a minimally backported form of that patch. The following upstream
stable patches should be included in the Ubuntu kernel:

         upstream stable patchset 2019-11-21
