Description:    Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS
Release:        18.04
After installing updates a week ago, the wifi connection could not connect 
anymore. Another (minor) problem is, that the machine reboots after shutting 
down. The same two problems occured some years ago (and went away) after kernel 
updates (I guess it was Ubuntu 16.04).

When I boot Ubuntu 20.04 from USB, wifi works w/o problems.

I'm not sure about the Kernel as cause for the problem, but here is the list of
