Title:
io_uring eventfd is not working in 5.4.0
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
[ Impact ]
Using eventfd feature of io_uring causes system hangs when using
eventfd test [1], as commit [2] states, it needs the cherry-pick of
the of commit [3] but also [4] to expose the
IORING_FEAT_CUR_PERSONALITY feature (and maybe the commits in
between).
[ Test case ]
- Compile liburing and run test/eventfd
- The test should run properly and not skipped
+ If only [3] is cherry-picked (that should be enough), the test should run
once the skip code part is commented out.
[ Regression potential ]
These patches are already part of linux 5.6
