Hi, please try out using the different ways below:

* Disable secure boot and then boot v5.7-rc7 (or any latest kernel from
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline)

* Add boot command: i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noloop
(Reference: https://askubuntu.com/questions/525629/touchpad-is-not-recognized)

* Install 5.6.0-1010-oem kernel:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install linux-modules-5.6.0-1010-oem linux-image-5.6.0-1010-oem
linux-headers-5.6.0-1010-oem

Title:
  touchpad does't work properly

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Ubuntu is installed on the Dell latitude 7480. This model has laptop with two
rows of buttons.
  Lower row doesn't work at all since I installed ubuntu. Before this, with
Windows installed there was no problems.

  Upper row works for some time after waking up, then it stops reacting
  either at all, or works only in some of the opened programs, e.g.
  firefox, terminal, etc. If I close/open the lid, thus log out and log
  in, it works until I try to launch any new program, then usually stops
  reacting completely.
