Asus UX580 touchpad stops working

Bug description:
Periodically after restart touchpad on my UX580 laptop stops working
completely.
Closing the lid and letting the laptop to suspend, and then re-opening the
lid activates the touchpad.
Attached xinput list output.
This is Ubuntu 19.10, latest kernel.
