Hi Daniel, the driver that I have with ubuntu's support (the one that is
downloaded automatically) is giving me some problems. No freezes yet
(it's been around 6 hours).

The first problem is that the display does not seem to be claimed.

blaise@blaise-VivoBook2:~$ sudo lshw -c video
[sudo] password for blaise:
  *-display UNCLAIMED
       description: VGA compatible controller
       product: Renoir
vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI]
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci@0000:03:00.0
       version: c2
       width: 64 bits
       clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm pciexpress msi msix vga_controller bus_master cap_list
       configuration: latency=0
       resources: memory:d0000000-dfffffff memory:e0000000-e01fffff
ioport:e000(size=256) memory:fe700000-fe77ffff

This I believe leads to the following problems in which the night light
does not work. (when I had the driver installed from the amd website it
did work). And similarly, I cannot attach an HDMI external monitor to my
computer anymore, where previously with the other driver I could.

Please let me know what steps I can take to resolve these issues. I have
gone through the internet and many suggestions just tell me to install
the driver from the amd site. but I do not want something that Ubuntu
does not support or freezes on me. Thanks. Blaise

Bug description:
I upgraded to a Ryzen 7, 24-RAM ASUS computer because I thought that
my 2-year-old Dell laptop was the problem. However, I froze during
Zoom yesterday and during coding today after fresh-installing Ubuntu
20.04 on Sunday. I also froze mid-attempt to submit a bug report after
the coding freeze. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
