Bug description:
When using the Ubuntu kernel version 4.8.0, at some unpredictable time
after boot, the screen goes black, the computer fan starts working at
top speed, and after a couple seconds the computer shuts down
(probably due to overheating).
This does not happen with the mainline kernel version 3.19.8, but it
does also happen with the mainline kernel versions 4.10.0, 4.10.12 and
4.11.0.
