After update to the latest update kernel vmlinuz-4.15.0-143-generic I also has this problem. With no splash I pictured warning info about radeon from latest kernel(see attachment). [AMD/ATI] Radeon HD 4650/4670 AGP Kernel driver in use: radeon Kernel modules: radeon The temporary workaround is nomodeset in grub options, but I need to use radeon drivers which worked ok like on vmlinuz-4.15.0-99-generic.
