Title:
Touchpad not detected on ASUS Q325UA
Status in linux-signed-hwe-5.8 package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
After installing Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS on my ASUS Q325UA, I could not use
the touchpad. I plugged in a mouse and it worked afterwards, but when
another user logged on, the touchpad functionality disappeared.
I followed the guide:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection, and didn't get
anything for touchpad after running cat /proc/bus/input/devices for
the TouchPad.
According to the article there seems to be a linux kernel error.
Oddly enough, I keep getting a keyboard battery low message, and there
is no barry-powered keyboard attached to this laptop.
