Bug description:
HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec1510AX (EC151XXX family)
Elan PrecisionTouchpad not detected when booting from either 20.04 or
20.10 live usb except very occasionally the touchpad would be found
when booting from 20.04 (with many repeated live boot attempts between
20.04, 20.10 and also Windows). On the second occasion the touchpad
was found, installed from 20.04 with touchpad working, rebooted into
installed version and touchpad didn't work again. Upgraded to 20.10
and touchpad still not working.
Occasionally the mouse pointer on screen seemed to move a few pixels
as the live boot was flicking between splash screens but this was
irregular at best.
If it's any help, I can get more info about the device from the Win10
device manager (dual boot).
