Title:
XPS 9575 auto rotate camera when in tent mode (when laptop is updside
down)
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When the XPS 9575 laptop is upside down the in-built gyroscope rotates
the screen, as correct and expected. However the video recording
output is not rotated. i.e. when conducting a Skype and Zoom call I
can see myself upside down.
A test in both Skype and Zoom has been conducted, in both instances
the video was upside down. This suggests that the driver is not
automatically rotating the video recording when the laptop is upside
down, in 'tent mode', because the issue occurs in multiple different
software.
Although a workaround can be conducted in some software by adjusting
the settings, this is not ideal, because it requires the user to
adjust settings every time the laptop is rotated, which could happen
during a meeting for instance.
