Public bug reported: [Impact]
Some OEM designs may populate the secured USB port without runtime power management supported. [Fix] Adds two IDs for XHCI controllers and enable runtime PM as default. This is from kernel 5.16-rc6. [Test] This is requested by AMD. [Where problems could occur] Low risk. This patch adds two additional hardware IDs and has no impacts on other systems. ** Affects: hwe-next Importance: Undecided Assignee: Alex Hung (alexhung) Status: New ** Affects: linux-oem-5.14 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-oem-5.14 (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd oem-priority originate-from-1956471 ** Also affects: linux-oem-5.14 (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux-oem-5.14 (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Tags added: amd oem-priority originate-from-1956471 ** Changed in: hwe-next Assignee: (unassigned) => Alex Hung (alexhung) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-oem-5.14 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1956670 Title: Extend support for runtime power management for AMD's Yellow Carp Status in HWE Next: New Status in linux-oem-5.14 package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in linux-oem-5.14 source package in Focal: New Bug description: [Impact] Some OEM designs may populate the secured USB port without runtime power management supported.
