You can tell the kernel to ignore particular devices that might wake the
machine up by:
sudo sh -c 'echo NAME > /proc/acpi/wakeup'
That will just toggle device NAME between enabled (can wake up) or
disabled (can't wake up). But the hard part is figuring out which device
name from /proc/acpi/wakeup is relevant to the USB keyboard. Maybe 'XHC'
representing the USB controller?
Your BIOS might also have settings to control which devices can wake the
machine up.

Suspend mode does not seems to work. Clicking on suspend button sends
laptop in suspend mode and in few seconds laptop comes out of suspend
mode and shows login screen again.
