** Summary changed: - After replacing the original HDD in my Acer Aspire ES1-311-C4Q6 with an ADATA 240GB SSD I installed Ubuntu 20.04.1 from a Linux Format magazine DVD. The installation appeared to complete correctly. However, on rebooting the laptop there was no response to the Touchpad. Using "less /proc/bus/devices" results in a list that shows no touchpad or mouse detected. + Touchpad does not work
