@xnox: this is what I get from the changelog of the kernel I'm currently
running:
$ apt-get changelog linux-hwe-5.15-source-5.15.0 | grep -Ei '(omen|hp-wmi)'
    - platform/x86: hp-wmi: Fix hp_wmi_read_int() reporting error (0x05)
    - ALSA: hda/realtek: Add a quirk for HP OMEN 15 mute LED
    - platform/x86: hp-wmi: Fix ACPI errors caused by too small buffer
    - platform/x86: hp-wmi: Fix ACPI errors caused by passing 0 as input size
So. one mention of omen. but unrelated to this set of patches or to HP-WMI.

Current kernel comes directly from Ubuntu repos:
$ dpkg -l | grep '5.15.0-43'

Honestly, I don't think having to wait for new kernel releases is good
for (prospective) users.
