  problem to upgrade linux-firmware package

Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I am running Ubuntu 22.04 on laptop. from some weeks the upgrade
  process fail with the following output:

  Unpacking linux-firmware (20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.9) over 
(20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.7) ...
  dpkg: error processing archive 
/tmp/apt-dpkg-install-dN3Fro/7-linux-firmware_20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.9_a
  ll.deb (--unpack):
   unable to open '/lib/firmware/ath11k/IPQ6018/hw1.0/m3_fw.mdt.dpkg-new': No 
such file or directory
  No apport report written because the error message indicates an issue on the 
local system

  I have made some check and i have found that, on my sistem, the file 
lib/firmware/ath11k/IPQ6018/hw1.0/m3_fw.mdt can not be extracted from the 
package linux-firmware_20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.7_all.deb either manually
