Title:
5.19.0-1007-allwinner: screen buffer not completely displayed
Status in linux-allwinner package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I have installed the Kinetic preinstalled image on the Nezha board and
upgraded it.
With the 5.19 kernel the HDMI console output uses a larger font. Not
all columns and not all lines of the screen buffer are visible. So
when reaching the lower end of the HDMI output you start typing in the
dark. At least 20 lines of output are invisible. At least 80 columns
on the right side are not displayed.
This renders the HDMI console unusable.
$ cat /sys/class/drm/card0-HDMI-A-1/modes
1024x768
800x600
800x600
848x480
640x480
The 1920x1080 mode is not displayed.
The screen is actually running in 1024x768 mode while the screen
buffer assumes 1920x1080.
With the 5.17 allwinner kernel the problem did not exist.
