Thanks for the bug report. It sounds like the HDMI connection isn't
getting the full display info (sometimes). Next time it happens, please
run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
and attach the resulting text file here. It might be helpful to do the
same also when the bug is NOT happening.

I have managed to install the drivers and nvidia-smi shows output but
it does NOT detect my external monitor which used to work with
previous version of the driver. Sometimes it is detected by the
resolution too small
