The issue seems to be identical to the problem reported for 6.7.0 here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=292203 On the page linked above is says a patch was submitted 2024-01-26 and the problem solved 2024-03-04 in linux 6.7.5 or linux-lts 6.6.17. I'm concerned that this still needs fixing in the 5.xxx kernel branch. Touchpad does not freeze and mouse-control of windows still works, so it's different from a bug reported elsewhere.
