Thank you @lurnot3k for writeups helping users! Somewhat related: I hit issues with this touchpad on resume from suspend. It was unreliable for me after suspend with kernel 6.10 and stopped working at all for me after suspend with 6.11, so I had to deal with this touchpad again today :)
If you manage to get your touchpad working, only to run into the suspend-resume problem, for me it is fixed after resume by "rmmod i2c_hid_acpi && modprobe i2c_hid_acpi".
