The build failure of nvidia-dkms-470 470.256.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 in Ubuntu 24.10 oracular is because of GCC 14, not the kernel. Building for noble kernel 6.8.0-48.48 also failed in oracular for this reason. After applying the 3 patches from https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/nvidia-modules-470-239-06-build- failure-with-gcc-14-due-to-conftest-sh/292645 the build succeeded for both noble 6.8.0-48.48 and oracular 6.11.0-9.9 linux-image-generic kernels, and both are usable. I have combined the 3 patches and attached them here. The patch needs to be applied to /usr/src/nvidia-470.256.02/conftest.sh
