lenovo touchpad not working, not showing in settings for about 3 days

Bug description:
I think it started 3 days ago, after ubuntu software update. I saw
similar issues fixed by adding commands in /etc/default/grub. This
resulted in not booting at all. I was able to fix not booting via
recovery mode (dual boot). I noticed that the touchpad is working fine
if I boot through recovery mode. It still does not work via normal
boot. External touchpads are working fine, too.
