is this bot telling me that if i don't modify my system to use the
-proposed kernel (which i do *not* want to do) and verify that it fixes
my problem within 5 days, that i will have file another bug report and
start all over again?

and all the work that all these ppl have done to document this issue
(and likely even to fix this issue) will be tossed away because some bot
timed out after 5 fucking days?!?!

tell me this is not how i'm supposed to read this...tell me i'm being
hysterical.

please tell me that kernel version 6.14.0-32-generic for my LTS install
will include the fix discussed here.

PLEASE!

Title:
Unable to put display on standby after resuming from hibernate

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in linux source package in Plucky:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu 24.04. After a recent kernel upgrade to
6.14.0-28.28~24.04.1 I've noticed that after the system is resumed
from hibernate, the display doesn't go into standby. It goes there
briefly, but then immediately wakes up showing black screen.

In the logs I can see the following message every time this is
  attempted:

[drm:parse_edid_cea_dmub.constprop.0 [amdgpu]] *ERROR* EDID CEA parser
  failed

I've checked old logs, this message never appeared before. Downgrading to
6.14.0-27.27~24.04.1 appears to fix the problem.
