Title:
  Ubuntu 22.04.05 LTS, MS Defender + K8S + Kernel 5.15.0-144+ cause
  system hang

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
We are running dozens of Ubuntu 22.04.05 LTS VMs on VMware ESXi,
  8.0.3, 24784735

Recently we started to face issues where the VMs hang up and need a
reset to do do a reboot, just to hang up again either immediately or
  after a short while.

We narrowed the issue down to a specific point in time. They started since we
upgraded the Kernel to version 5.15.0-144.
And the issue only happens with a specific combination of installed and
active software, which is Kubernetes and MS Defender.

We have systems on Kernel 5.15.0-144 and MS Defender but without Kubernetes.
Those are running fine.
We have systems on Kernel 5.15.0-144 where we have stopped the Defender now.
Those are running fine too.
We have systems on Kernels below 5.15.0-144 with MS Defender and Kubernetes.
Thise are running fine too.

The same systems having these issues switched to Kernel 6.8.0-64(or
  65) are then running fine too.

Just a few minutes ago, I tested the Kernel version 5.15.0-151 but the
  issues still persist.

Please let me know if something is wrong with my report here and if
you need additional information or some logs. This is my first report
ever so I actually have no experience with this process.

  KR
  Ahmet K.
