Hello EToniolo,

Could this bug be related to the similar sounding bug here?

"When booting the installation of 24.04 (LTS) I will be presented with a
nice screen. However the resolution is wrong. My screen is actually
1920x1080. However the installation uses a resolution of 2048x1536. It's
a wrong aspect ratio as well, 16:9 vs 4:3." -

Title:
Invalid display EDID cause wrong display settings

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
On my laptop Sony Vaio F11 the full hd screen has yhe incorrect size of
2048x1536(4:3) instead of the right one of 1920x1080. I can only see the top
left part of the screen(gnome, visible area aside, works fine).
With the Ubuntu 23.10 the problem does not occur and the correct panel
resolution is managed.
