I can confirm that adding amdgpu
to '/etc/initramfs-tools/modules' and then doing a update-initramfs -u as described in #19 makes the splash screen + LUKS password login screen work again on my Thinkpad X13 with AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U with built-in GPU. Tested both cold boot and reboot. Also, external screens still work with this method. Was able to boot 6.8.0-49. Could boot 6.8.0-50 with quiet splash commented out - with text input. Added i915 (my video driver) to /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and updated initrd, after which could boot 6.8.0-50.
