You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G7 ARP laptop.
Model: 21MV
Ryzen 5 7535HS.
Internal factory laptop keyboard.
Ubuntu 25.10.
What happened instead:
Simple pressing/releasing single Fn key produces the below in dmesg
(every single time):
[ +4.340795] atkbd serio0: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xf8 on
isa0060/serio0).
[ +0.000019] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e078 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ +0.009265] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xf8
on isa0060/serio0).
[ +0.000013] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e078 <keycode>' to make it known.
This is likely messing up of Volume up/down keys (Fn+F2,Fn+F3) and clogs
dmesg.
What expected to happen:
Fn key should be well defined (for Thinkbook 14 G7 ARP at least) and should not
produce "Unknown key pressed" messages in dmesg.
