Not sure what changed but I cannot reproduce the error after switching back to nvidia-580 with an up-to-date 24.04. Please let me know if you'd like to have any more information. In any case, please consider this closed as fixed or not reproducible. Thanks for the feedback!

Running from terminal with G_DEBUG="all" NAUTILUS_DEBUG="All" results in no explicit error message when freezing, only the confirmation that I killed the program in the end. I tried attaching the process to gdb like $ pgrep nautilus > 20297 $ sudo gdb -p 20297 but as soon as I attach it, nautilus freezes. Output from gdb attached.
