Title:
   MSI MS-7758 suspend/resume failure

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Computer fails to resume from a suspend. Suspend (S3) appears normal with
monitor turning off, system fans turning off, system led blinking as set in
bios, and hard drives spin down. Pressing the power button appears to wake the
computer (system fans turn on, hard drives spinning, monitor turns on)
  Problem:
suspending from the gui desktop - The screen appears to turn off (maybe
backlight turn off?) however I can barely see the mouse pointer, however it
does not respond to movement. I can not switch to a tty terminal ctrl + alt +
f1.
suspending from gui terminal: sudo pm-suspend - The screen and everything
turn on, however the screen displays the exact image at the time of the suspend
(to the exact second) and is frozen. The usb keyboard and mouse is
unresponsive. I cannot switch to tty either.
suspending from tty1 after shutting down gui environment - The screen is
frozen showing the exact screen at the time of suspend. The usb keyboard and
mouse is unresponsive. I cannot switch to a different tty.
