Public bug reported:
In the dmesg output for my Ubuntu 14.04 kernel I see these lines, saying
that bus cycles are unavailabe:
[ 0.198024] Performance Events: PEBS fmt1+, 16-deep LBR, Nehalem events,
Intel PMU driver.
[ 0.198029] perf_event_intel: CPU erratum AAJ80 worked around
[ 0.198031] perf_event_intel: CPUID marked event: 'bus cycles' unavailable
[ 0.198033] ... version: 3
[ 0.198034] ... bit width: 48
[ 0.198035] ... generic registers: 4
[ 0.198036] ... value mask: 0000ffffffffffff
[ 0.198037] ... max period: 000000007fffffff
[ 0.198038] ... fixed-purpose events: 3
[ 0.198039] ... event mask: 000000070000000f
Any ideas how I can make them available?
Thanks
Michael
