I am also running into this kernel panic. We are trying to update our infrastructure from 12.04 to 14.04, and our load balancer boxes, which are HAProxy only (I've tried 1.4.x and 1.5.x of HAProxy). The servers work perfectly well, but as soon as I expose the server to the Internet via ELB, the server is guaranteed to kernel panic within 5 minutes. I have been unable to trigger the panic outside of ELB traffic.
