@Adam

This looks like an unknown device for the kernel. There is nothing to
do, but to make an upstream report and hope, that someone will find a
way.

Title:
  [Gigabyte M1405] Touchpad not detected

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  My touchpad does not appear in the list when i run "cat
  /proc/bus/input/devices". This is a brand new installation on this
  notebook, Ubuntu has never been installed or operated before.

  An external USB mouse works when it is connected (and is visible with
  the above terminal command). The touchpad remains dead.

  The touchpad works in windows 7 (dual boot system).

  Using the instructions at
"https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection";, I have attached the
~/dmesg, ~/devices and the /var/log/Xorg.0.log
