Title:
Cannot install Intrepid beta via the "Install Kubuntu Now" option
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I down-loaded the Intrepid beta this morning and burned it, checked
the burn (no defects), and tried to install.
Twice i tried to install via the "Install Kubuntu Now" option, when i
had selected the keyboard then the layout, the installer very quickly
examined the HDs, then stopped, then the CD spun down, and all
activity ceased.
The third time, i loaded the desktop instead, then selected "Install",
and it was successful.
The only reason i didn't install was that the installer kept on insisting
that whatever was on sda2 would be destroyed.
That is / for the Hardy install, and so i quit.
This has also been reported by another user on the Kubuntu Forums, his
experience was identical to mine.
