After months, a few more days is insignificant.
And I still don't see why that should depend on unfixed issues. It's not like rolling a new ISO is a huge amount of work (most of the time spent is waiting until it's built and uploading it), that can't be done again as new (important) fixes come in.
If the unfixed issues weren't actively being worked, I'd agree.
But I guess we can only agree to disagree here.
