        I've been optimistically ignoring it, hoping that somebody else
would have the time to do the necessary heavy mental lifting and figure it
out.  Essentially, since the VM (will) provides java processes, we can
feed them whatever class library they desire.  As for different bytecode
interperters, if someone wants to write them, I won't object, but I wonder
if it's worth the effort to support the (AFAIK) relatively few programs
that depend on inconsistincies between JVM versions as opposed class
libraries.  We'll see.
