Absolutely not. JOS4C is a completely different animal. It's simply a JRE and
some extra classes running atop a microkernel. In fact, I think there's a
specification for JOS4C which several groups have implemented. At JavaOne,
Transvirtual were showing a JOS4C implementation based on Kaffe, for example.
That said, Sun don't seem terribly committed to the platform and anyway, it's
targeted mostly at quite different (generally smaller) devices than IBM's
JavaOS.
