I looked into this with a few managers, and CEE.  We don't see a need for this
information to be exposed beyond the boottime and runtime messages that we
currently have.  The worry is that a sysfs listing may indicate the
'permanent' disabling of a device to a end-user.  We have had cases where we
have disabled a device and then due to feedback, re-enabled the device.
