I believe it worked because you passed in DIST. I tried that earlier and it does mostly the right thing but not entirely. IIUC, the reason someone might want to use `:=` is to enforce only passing these variables in on the command line but I don't want to do that. It just didn't seem worth the effort to figure out how I could reorder things when in reality all I want to do is to reassign `DIST` and other variables based on just passing in `AUTOMOTIVE_BUILD`. So where I saw `$(DIST)`, I left it as I had it. I'll see if I can find an approach that minimizes the `:=` assignments. -- _______________________________________________ kernel mailing list -- kernel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to kernel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kernel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
