Hi, I also didnt get any good doc on the mmc sub system whereas there are few things that might help A slide which explains driver stack:- http://www.slideshare.net/champ_yen/linux-sdmmc-driver-stack
Check JEDEC specs (open standard for MMC /eMMC) http://www.jedec.org/sites/default/files/docs/JESD84-A441.pdf 1. Card you can look into linux kernel directory drivers/mmc/card/ very few files and easy to understand. can map with JEDEC pdf. Block.c , queue.c and mmc_test.c 2. Core Generic layer - Not much to be done in this if you are writing a driver or so. 3. Host drivers/mmc/host/ There are few sample mmc driver file are there although This is specific to your chip. so needed data sheet. Also JEDEC spec can help a bit. Hope this helps.
