OK, I think I better understand your question now. You want to install
lttng and lttv on different machine, right?

Based on 
http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.116.5569&rep=rep1&type=pdf,
I conclude that LTTng use relayfs, somekind of "fast" version of
netlink and also use circular buffer (to avoid lock, I guess).

Regarding dumping the trace via network, according to
http://lttng.org/files/slides/desnoyers-talk-ols2006.pdf, we could
confirm it is able to do it. Perhaps you could read the manual in
detail to find the correct configuration.
