Hi, in some of the books I am reading I find a text which mentions MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE () macro makes a user defined structure available in the module image so that the module can be loaded on demand if the card is hotplugged. I am not clear with how is this detection happening inside the kernel. How does the kernel detects the presence of a particular device?( I am not referring to the probe function defined in many drivers)
