Oh, the Phoenix version of wxWidgets was updated between when they added the EGL canvas and when they added the option to disable the EGL canvas apparently. I have opened an issue with Pheonix to see if they will bump their bundled wx version to a more recent version (that will include the option of disabling EGL). I am also in the process of making our code work with EGL, but I have been sidetracked by some other items, so I haven't gotten it wrapped up yet.
