Torsten, I've been making quite a few edits to the repo, and depending on those edits within <kicad-source>/new/sweet_edit.
Hopefully you will not find merging with those edits too daunting. sweet_edit can now show an empty OPENGL_GAL canvas, which is via a derived class SCH::CANVAS. The canvas is *empty* but with grid and cursor. I hope some day soon a SWEET part simply jumps up onto the canvas, but I suspect it will take some persuasion.
