Please welcome Miguel Angel Ajo as a member of team
kicad-testing-committers
(the sub-team that has commit rights to branch named "testing").
Miguel has been working on a personal scripting branch for some time, and has
suffered the
inconvenience of having to merge periodically with testing long enough.
Besides, I made a
personal commitment to him that that work would not go to waste. To fulfill
that
commitment, I am adding him to testing committers so that that work can now
start to flow
into the main branch, and as it does, that he will get the necessary help and
recognition
from other developers. The road block to scripting is hereby removed.
But let me not make this about scripting, I want to make it about Miguel.
Miguel has demonstrated superior people skills while on this list, and while
contributing
to KiCad. Good teams are made out of people with good people skills. Miguel
has them.
If you sum up the value of the website and the value of scripting, and the
value of his
enthusiasm, I dare say that Miguel is now one of the most valuable people in
the KiCad
community. And smart teams will cherish their valuable people. I have been
advocating
for Miguel among the senior developers, and with this announcement, we welcome
Miguel to
this sub-team.
Thank you and welcome Miguel.
Best regards,
Dick Hollenbeck
