Last time I checked, the official debian packages were years old.  I'm
not certain bug reports against code that old will be useful.

Karl worked on testing the Wayne and Layne Ubuntu packages on Debian,
and he seems to be running ok--there's some issue with desktop icons
or something, but it's certainly something we can work through.  I'd
like to get those packages pushed up to Debian proper, but there's a
lot of rigmarole and hoops to jump through, so it's relatively low on
our list at Wayne and Layne.

If this is something that would be greatly appreciated (more than the
things higher up on the list...) let me know, and I can see about
jumping through those hoops.
