Good idea. Too bad manufacturers move them and/or make them available in
strange ways... IIRC Microchip links go dead whenever a doc get updated,
for example (at least they don't leave stale documentation around...)

A properly configured browser should eat without problem even a PDF, so
it's a good solution anyway. The 'default browser' is however a sticky
question, especially under Linux :P it's obvious it doesn't have
a shell-execute function like Windows.

Well, for start I don't have the lsb_release command (whatever it's for)
that the new wx tries to call four times at each launch!
