With regards to OpenSSL, there's no need to install the root certificates. The Github plugin runs with without setting the OPENSSL_CONF environment variable too. Everything appears to *just work*! I will roll a patch and pass it under your nose in the next few days before committing. There's only a few changes, my main problem was trying to get boost built and installed correctly. This is all fine now with the move to mingw-w64. I have a few things to tidy up before the patch is any good. Best Regards, Brian.
