There was some discussion how to improve it earlier in the thread, but I got busy with actually making a board with KiCad ( https://github.com/hzeller/bumps ) the last couple of free-time slots, so that I haven't come to this change yet. I plan to make it a bit nicer by actually registering a hot key (let's call that hot-key 'Return' :) ) which then does the whatever-the-left-mouse-button-would-finish business. So it will not be much change, but I need to get around doing it. (having said that: this patch should work perfectly fine if you patch it in your code - I am using it all the time) >> >> >> 2014-03-06 23:45 GMT+00:00 Henner Zeller <[email protected]>: >> >>> On 3 March 2014 06:53, Wayne Stambaugh <[email protected]> wrote: >>> > On 3/2/2014 2:29 AM, Henner Zeller wrote: >>> >> Hi, >>> >> For small changes, or when I only have a touchpad available, I like to >>> >> use the keyboard for editing tasks, so I appreciate that the >>> >> cursor-keys control the cross-hair similar to the mouse. >>> >> >>> >> However to finish a move initiated with 'm' followed by cursor >>> >> movements, one still has to press the mouse-button, thus having to >>> >> leave the keyboard and probably mess up the precise placement.
