I was probably the last to work on this. 1) What program/executable?
2) Are you sure you have opened a project already. The behaviour you cite is expected until the project is opened. Until then, when you do an edit, you are editing the project specific template, as I wanted. I certainly know how I wanted it to work, but I may have failed in doing that. I'm working on KiCad today, so I can help quickly today.
